Either works. Nothing starts counting until you connect at your destination — so we suggest installing the night before, while you have good Wi-Fi and zero stress.
Best: the night before you fly

Fine: at the departure gate
Airport Wi-Fi is good enough. Takes about ninety seconds.
Avoid: after landing, with no connection
You need internet to install. If you forgot, find the arrivals Wi-Fi first — then install.
